Hidden in the woody undergrowth of the darkest parts of the woods, the Scarlet Elfcup mushrooms (Coron borffor in Welsh) are small pops of colour in the most unexpected places. So called because people believed they were cups for woodland elves, their red and orange shades contrast beautifully with their surroundings.
